KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): After four days of closure, the busy Kunduz-Takhar highway has been reopened and 18 rebels killed as a result of a clearing operation by security forces, an official said on Saturday.
Kunduz police chief, Brig. Gen. Qasim Jangalbagh, told Pajhwok Afghan News 18 militants were killed and six others wounded during the operation in the Malarghi area of Khanabad district on Friday night.
