MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Five members of a family died after drinking contaminated water from a well inside their home in northwestern Faryab province, police said on Sunday.
Abdul Karim Yourash, provincial police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred on Saturday in Diwana Kariz locality of Ghormach district.
Yourash said a woman was among the five dead. The well water had been poisoned as a result of a dispute within the family, he added.
