JALALABAD (Pajhwok):At least three people, including a commander of the Afghan Local Police (ALP), have been killed and nine others wounded in an explosion in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan Newsthat the incident took place in Khogyani district last night. The explosives had been placed in ALP Commander Sarjang’s vehicle, he said.
The ALP commander, a policeman and a civilianwere killed and four policemenand five local residents wounded in the blast. The injured were evacuated to hospital, said the spokesman, who gave no details about their health condition.
Kamran, an inhabitant of the area, said the incident happened at a police check-post. No militants group has yet commented yet on the explosion.
