JALALABAD (Pajhwok): One Policeman and eight Taliban have been killed and two security personnel wounded during clashes and an airstrikein eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News an unmanned aircraft stuck a vehicle carrying insurgents in the Ghwagezai locality of Hesarak district.
Six terrorists on board were killed in the overnight strike, the officials said, adding the militants came under attack as they passed through the locality.
Separately, one boarder police man was killed and two others wounded in a car bombing and a clash in Pachiragam district.
Ghulamullah, a shopkeeper, confirmed the car bombing and clash but did not give information about casualties.
