AIBAK (Pajhwok): A would-be suicide bomber was arrested before he reached his target in Aibak, the capital of northern Samangan province, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said on Sunday.
A statement from the intelligence service said the man named Lal Mohammad, alias Ashiqullah, was captured before he could detonate his explosives-rigged motorcycle.
It added the bomber had been directed by Taliban commander Talha to carry out the attack.The NDS, however, did not give any date for the arrest.
