JALALABAD (Pajhwok): National Security Advisor (NSA) Hanif Atmar has alleged that Daesh -- or Islamic State (IS) -- fighters have safe havens and funding sources in Pakistan.
Atmar, who traveled to eastern Nangarharprovince on Wednesday after recent IS attacks in Kot district, told a press conference the rebel group receiving funds from the neighbouring country.
“Daesh militants have come from Pakistan, most of them have Pakistani documents. Some elements from Central Asia and Gulf countries have also joined the group,” the advisor said.
