TALUQAN (Pajhwok): One Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier, five Taliban have been killed and 11 others, including three security officials wounded in a clash in the Durqad district of northern Takhar province.
The clash erupted late on Sunday and continued till the 5:00am in the morning.
Nasruddin, the resident of the Durqad, told Pajhwok Afghan News periodical clashed took place in the district from the past few days and the security situation was on the decline.
Last year the Taliban captured Durqad district for one month, but security forces retake the control of the district and driven the Taliban.
Taliban confirmed clash in Durqad district, the group’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid they attack security forces check-post in the Qara Tapa locality and killed two policemen and captured the check-post.
