With artificial turf Herat football stadium ready for inauguration

KABUL Football Federation (AFF) said on Friday.

The country’s first ever stadium out of Kabul with artificial turf would be inaugurated at around 4:00pm in the presence of local officials and AFF members just a head of the friendly match, according to the AFF.

AFF Head Abdul Karim Rahmani said the artificial grass project on the football pitch out of capital Kabul was the first project of its kind, adding that the country football administration’s member and delegates from Federation International De Football (FIFA) had visited the project and showed their satisfaction as far as the quality and international standard was concerned.

The project was completed by an Italian company with the financial support of FIFA, he added.

According to Rahmani the Heart Football Stadium was constructed 70 years earlier and had the capacity of 10,000 viewers.
