HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The mayor of western Herat province on Sunday accused the provincial council of demanding $50,000 in bribe in connection with the main road’s construction in the provincial capital.
Farhad Niayesh told a press conference here that seeking bribes by the provincial council had become a culture and the council had received bribes in each project executed in the province.
He said the provincial council had asked the construction company engaged in construction of the main road in Herat City to give them $50,000 in bribe.
