GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Taliban insurgents have launched coordinated attacks on Giro district of southern Ghazni province, officials said. The militants also blocked the Ghazni-Paktika highway for traffic.
Governor Abdul Karim Matin told Pajhwok Afghan News the rebels stormed the district late Sunday night and clashes were still ongoing.Both sides suffered casualties as reinforcements reached the area.
