KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a school principal in the Sabri district of southeastern Khost province, an official said on Friday.

Agha Jan Tawkali, the district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News Principal Nawab Khan came under attack in But Khana area last night.

He said the headmaster, returning home from the mosque, was gunned down by two masked attackers, who managed to escape. Police have mounted a hunt for the killers.
