LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Tight security measures have been put in place in Lashkargah, the capital of southern Helmand province, and areas under government’s control on the eve of religious festival Eidul Adha starting tomorrow.
Brig. Gen. Mohammad Hakim Angar, the 505 Bost Zone police commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News on Sunday that police and other law enforcement agencies had launched operations in various areas and special security plans had been devised for the religious festival.
Angar assured all types of possible security incidents would be frustrated and people enabled to celebrate the sacred occasion peacefully . . .
