KABUL national cricket team beat a domestic Indian cricket team in a friendly warm-up match in New Delhi, an official said on Monday.
Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News the match was played between the national side and Uttar Pradesh cricket team.
He said the Afghans decided to bat after winning the toss, with Shabir Noori scoring 128 runs.
He said Hashmatullah Shahidi made his 50 in the side’s total 259 off 50 overs.
According to Hotak, Uttar Pradesh team could not chase the target and were bundled out for 227 runs, thus Afghanistan winning the game by 33 runs.
Naweenul Haq, Rashid Arman, Aftab Alam, and Hazah Hotak took two wickets each.
Afghanistan are currently touring India for practice matches in the run up to matches against Bangladesh.
