KABUL Joint Working Group (CSJWG) on Monday welcomed resumption of work by the selection committee, a body tasked with nominating members of the two electoral commissions.
Khalil Raufi, member of the group, demanded of the government and other political forces not to interfere in affairs of the selection committee.
He said members of the committee should continue their job with complete independence, ensure transparency in applicants’ evaluation and introduce a proper mechanism for selection of new commissioners.
