PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Nearly a dozen Taliban militants were killed and another 23 wounded during clashes with security forces in northern Baghlan province, the governor said on Tuesday.
Abdul Sattar Baraz told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban stormed on police check-posts in Baghlan-i-Markazi and Dahna districts, but they were pushed backed.
A suicide bomber dropped from his bicycle and his suicide-vest went off, killing only him, he said.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the casualties.
