JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Ten children were wounded in two separate bomb explosions in the capital and Chaparhar district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Attuallah Khogynai, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the first explosion took place in near Bibi Hawa High School in Jalalabad, injuring eight children, including seven girls.
Dr. Ihsanullah Shinwari, the zonal hospital head, confirmed receiving the eight wounded children at the hospital.
Separately, two children were wounded in a bomb explosion in Chaparhar district. Khogyani said the bomb went off inside a shop, accusing militants of planting the bomb.
