TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Hundreds of residents of this capital city of central Uruzgan province on Thursday staged a protest demonstration to ask the government to launch an operation against militants besieging the city.
The insurgents have laid siege to Tirinkot over the past two months and intermittent clashes between security forces and the rebels take place.
