1 policeman dead, 3 hurt in Kandahar suicide bombing

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): One policeman was killed and three others wounded in a suicide bombing in Kandahar City, the capital of southern Kandahar province, on Saturday, an official said.

Police Spokesman Zia Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News the bombing was carried out though a Saracha type of vehicle at around 10:30am in Teri Ade locality situated in the limits of 9^th police district.

He said the target of suicide attacker was police chief of the 9^th police district but he luckily survived the attack.

Sources from the Mirwis Hosptial in Kandahar City said three injured had been evacuated to the hospital from the scene of suicide bombing who were out of danger now.
