Civilians, border policemen suffer casualties in Zabul offensives

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two civilians and a border policeman have been killed and two civilians and a policeman wounded in a clash in Shamlazi district of southern Zabul province, an official said on Saturday.

Gul Islam Seal, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place when a large number of Taliban in the district.

He said two civilians were killed and two others injured in the clash. One border policeman was also killed and another wounded in the few hour firefight.

Seal claimed that the Taliban militants also suffered casualties.

Taliban did not comment on the incident so far.
