KABUL (Pajhwok): Free media advocacy group NAI on Sunday said it had recorded 85 cases of violence including physical elimination against journalists and media employees over the past 10 months across the country.
NAI head Sediqullah Tawhidi told a press conference at the organisation’s office that the incidents occurred between January and October, 2016. He said 13 reporters were murdered during the period.
The period saw the insecurity situation and fighting increasing, forcing many reporters and media employees into leaving jobs temporarily, he said.
