KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Hundreds of shopkeepers on Tuesday shut shops in the capital of southern Kandahar province in protest against the kidnapping of their two colleagues.
The protestors said two vegetable sellers had been kidnapped by gunmen in vehicles with tinted glasses in broad daylight in the fourth police district of Kandahar city about more than a week ago.
Governor’s spokesman, Samim Khpalwak, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the deputy governor had met the protestors and had promised investigation into the incident.
