HEART CITY (Pajhwok): A fifth wide-ranging book exhibition is being opened in western Herat province next Sunday to promote book reading culture and introduce new books to readers.
Local officials told a press conference that the exhibition would be held from next Sunday.
Herat information and culture director, Arya Raufyan, said book reading was yet to be institutionalized in the country.
He said the information and culture department had the plan to open the exhibition next week in order to encourage people, particularly the youth, to read books.
