Policeman wounded in Kapisa bomb attack

MOHMMOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A police officer was wounded in a magnetic bomb explosionin central Kapisa province on Thursday, an official said.

Naqibullah Amini, the police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the first Kohistan bazaar at 7am.

He added a police officer on duty at the central prison was injured in the explosion, for which there was no immediate claim of responsibility.

Abdul Fatah Shafiq, the first Kohistan district chief, confirmed the incident, saying the wounded officer was evacuated to hospital. He is said to be in stable condition.
