LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Thirty-two people, including 28 security personnel, have been released from Taliban’s captivity in the Greshk district of southern Helmand province, officials said on Wednesday.
Omar Zwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News, commando unit personnel launched an operation against Taliban’s prison in Shorkai locality last night.
As a result, 32 people including 28 Afghan soldiers were freed. “The prison was run inside a house, with its guard managing to escapeduring the operation. No clash occurred in the area,” Zwak said . . .
