KABUL’s assistant secretary general for operations Patrick Turner during a meeting with President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday praised the Afghan security forces’ gains in the campaign against terrorist groups.
National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar was also present at the meeting that conferred on various issues particularly security, counterterrorism efforts and regional situation, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
President Ghani thanked NATO for continuously supporting Afghanistan in diverse fields particularly security and defence.
