KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan National Army (ANA)’s 207th Zafar Military Corps commander was killed in a helicopter crash in Bala Murghab district of western Badghis province on Tuesday, an official said.
Deputy Ministry of Defense (MoD) spokesman Ahmad Radminsh told Pajhwok Afghan News the helicopter crashed at around 4:30pm today afternoon due to technical problems.
He said other officials traveling in the helicopter sustained wounds and only the corps commander, Gen. Muhiuddin Ghori, was killed in the incident. Radminsh promised more details about the crash as it unfolded.
