SHARAN (Pajhwok): Nearly 241 families who have been recently displaced by violence in Barmal, Sarobi and Urgun districts of southeastern Paktika province on Sunday distributed cash assistance, officials said.
Acting Refugee Department head Mohammad Saleem Qazi told Pajhwok Afghan News each family received 6,150 afghanis in Urgon, Sarobi, Omna and Barmal districts.
He said the families faced many problems and were need of assistance. He said another 5000 displaced families also needed help.
Shir Mohammad, a displaced person, said the latest aid would not resolve all their problems and they needed more cash assistance.
