MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Five civilians were wounded during a clash between Taliban and security forces in eastern Laghman province on Wednesday, an official said.
Sarhadi Zwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the gun-battle erupted in Omarzai locality of Mehtarlam, the provincial capital, early this morning.
He said the injured individuals included four of a family and the fifth one was a 12-year-old boy, who was wounded when the Taliban-fired mortar shell landed at their house . . .
