JALALABAD/MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Three Taliban and two civilians have been killed and four others militants wounded in US drone strikes and explosions in eastern Nangarhar and Laghman provinces, officials said on Sunday.
Nangarhar Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News that notorious Taliban Commander Abdul Rahman was killed and his four others partners were wounded in US drone airstrike in Ambarkhani locality of the Bati Kot district on Saturday night.
On the other hand, two foreign rebels were killed in a separate US drone strike in Bandar locality of Achin district on Saturday night, he said.
Separately, two civilians were killed as result of the bomb explosion in eastern Laghman province, the governor spokesman said.
The incident happened in Omarzaio village of Wardak locality at around 7:00am, said Sarhadi Zwak.
Taliban have not yet commented about the incidents.
