<p>KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): One civilian has been killed and two others wounded in a roadside bombing in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Friday.</p>
<p>Samim Khpalwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast occurred in the Tarnak Pul area of the 5<sup>th</sup> police district of Kandahar City on Thursday night. </p>
<p>He said the car carrying the civilians to the provincial capital struck the roadside bomb at 7.30pm. The injured were evacuated to the Mirwais Civil Hospital by police.</p>
<p>Elsewhere in the city, an intelligence agent was killed in an ambush in the 12<sup>th</sup> police district, Khpalwak said. The intelligence operative came under gunfire on his way to office.</p>
