KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Residents of northern Kunduz province say illegal armed groups pose a serious security threat and some armed groups run own jails in the province.
Rassoul, a resident of Khanabad district, told Pajhwok Afghan News that hundreds of illegal armed men operated in the district, posing a major threat to people’s security.
“These armed men demand share in everything from people and they harass residents and even run personal prisons. Whenever they want to imprison or kill a person, they can, but the local government is unable to control them,” he said . . .
