SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): A newly-wed couple died of suffocation on the first night of their wedding in the capital of northern Jawzjan province, an official said Sunday.
Crime department head Abdul Malik Mamnun told Pajhwok Afghan News the wedding to place in the capital of Balkh province, Mazar-i-Sharif, on Saturday.
“They arrived in Shiberghan yesterday. The couple lighted a gas-run heater in their room and went to sleep leaving the heater on. They were found dead in the morning,” he said
