KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Officials say Tuesday’s blast in the capital of southern Kandahar province resulted in the killing of 11 people, with many charred beyond recognition.
The blast took place inside the governor’s house in Kandahar City, at about 7pm, the governor’s spokesman, Samim Khpalwak, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the injured included Governor Humayun Azizi, UAE Ambassador Juma Mohammed Abdullah al-Kaabi and a number of Emirati diplomats. The incident occurred at the Haram Sarai guesthouse.
