Cold snap: NGO worker found dead in Bamyan

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): The body of a local NGO worker, who died due to extreme cold, has been found in northern Bamyan province, an official said on Thursday.

Ahmad Reza Rifat, head of the National Disaster Committee, told Pajhwok Afghan News the MOOF employee died on Wednesday night due to snowfall over the last few days in Kotal Hajikak area.

He said Dr. Ali Saha died while traveling from Kabul to Bamyan province.

Abdul Khaliq, an official based in Shabeer district, confirmed the death. MOOF is offering healthcare services to the provincial population.
