KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Districts near the capital of southern Kandahar province were hit by first enough snow in 24 years early on Saturday morning, raising hope for improved agriculture harvests this year.
A large number of people including women and children in Kandahar City, the provincial capital, set out for nearby areas to watch the unusual scene.
The provincial Agriculture Department said the snow began on Saturday and fell for a few hours measuring up to four centimeters.
