HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A 21-year-old woman has shot herself to death in Herat City, the capital of western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.
Mohammad Rafiq Sherzai, spokesman for zonal hospital, told Pajhwok Afghan News Anisa Gul, 21, gunned herself down Saturday evening in the eighth police district.
Police Spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada said investigation into the suicide incident had been launched and would be shared with the media upon its completion.
