KABUL, Livestock and Irrigation (MAIL) on Sunday announced torching low quality and expired animal medicines worth one million afghanis in capital Kabul.
A statement from MAIL said 106 various types of veterinary vaccines which were of low quality and expired were set afire after being collected from supplying companies and stores during an investigation by the animal health department officials.
The statement didn’t specifically said when and where the medicines were set ablaze.
MAIL also reported collecting 65 types of low quality and expired medicines in Herat, Balkh and Nangarhar provinces.
The statement said the ministry was committed to preventing supplying and sale of low quality and expired medicines and taking legal action against violators.
