President arrives to warm welcome in Mazar-i-Sharif

KABUL (Pajhwok): Accompanied by high ranking officials, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Saturday arrived in northern Balkh province, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.

The president would ring a school bell to mark the beginning of the new educational year in the province, the statement added.

During the trip, the president would inaugurate the newly constructed Roza-i-Mubarak mosque and the Noor Hall in Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital.

Ghani would also attend a reception from Governor Atta Mohammad Noor and later visit the 209^thShaheen Military Corps base in the province.
