SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Twenty-one insurgents have been killed and wounded during an ongoing operation in northern Sar-i-pul province and separately 12 weapons were seized in central Parwan province, officials said on Monday.
Sar-i-Pul Governor Mohammad Zahir Wahdat said nine militants were killed in an ongoing operation codenamed ‘Al-burz’ in the Sayyad district.
He said the dead rebels included a notorious commander Qari Sher Mohammad aka Sher Ghazanfar and nine others militants were wounded in the operation. He said Qari Sher Mohammad had recently joined the Daesh militant group . . .
