KABUL (Pajhwok): A Ministry of Defence official was gunned down by unidentified attackers in capital Kabul early on Tuesday, an official said.
Maj. Gen. Dawlat Waziri, spokesman for MoD, identified the victim as Lt. Col. Sultan Mahmood -- an officer of the ministry’s engineering department.
He came under attack in the Karez Bazaar area of Kampany in the limits of the fifth municipality district. An investigation into the incident had been launched.
