KABUL, a parliamentary delegation from the neighboring country is due on a three-day visit to Kabul from Saturday, an official said on Thursday.

Mujib Rahman Rahimi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)’s spokesman, briefed reporters the Pakistani delegation’s visit. He said the delegates would include senior members of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and opposition parties and both houses of the National Assembly.

The Afghan government would discuss various matters especially combating terrorism with the Pakistani delegation due to arrive on April 29 in Kabul.

He said the Afghan authorities might again ask Pakistan at the talks to shun supporting terrorism as a foreign policy tool and help Afghanistan in a sincere way.

The relationship between Kabul and Islamabad has been under stress for the past one year, with Afghanistan boycotting the Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG)’s huddle.

The quadrilateral talks involved representatives from Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the US.

Even the national unity government’s representatives didn’t participate in some international conferences hosted by Pakistan.
