KABUL (Pajhwok): Nineteen insurgents, including some foreigners, have been killed in fresh airstrikes by Afghan security forces, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Sunday.
Eight Islamic State (Daesh) fighters, including a commander, were killed in an airstrike in the Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, a statement from the ministry said.
In the Zebak district of northeastern Badakhshan province, six Taliban, including four foreign terrorists, were killed in a similar raid, which also destroyed a vehicle.
Five more militants were killed in an airstrike in the Khanshin district of southern Helmand province, the statement added.
