KABUL will begin on May 27 as the moon is likely to be sighted on Friday, a noted Afghan astrologist predicted on Tuesday.
Abdullah Kandahari told Pajhwok Afghan News the moon could be seen on Thursday in Saudi Arabia for seven minutes and for a bit more time in Morocco.
However, he said the crescent could not be spotted in Saudi Arabia if there was cloud, thus Friday would be 30th of Shaban and Saturday the first of Ramadan.
