KABUL members on Wednesday termed forced diversion of a passenger plane by supporters of a lawmaker in central Bamyan province as treason and demanded the incident to be investigated.
Supporters of lawmaker Abdul Rahman Shahdani placed stones on the runway at the Bamyan airport to force a KamAir flight to return back to Kabul on Tuesday.
Shahdani, a lawmaker from Bamyan, had directed his supporters not to allow the plane to land at the airport because he missed the flight for coming late.
