MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Construction work on two mosques was launched in the capital of eastern Laghman province on Friday.
Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi, who inaugurated the construction work on the mosques at the Sultan Ghazi Baba township and Nanakzai areas, said the government paid a special attention to mosques and seminaries.
He said the mosque at the township would cost nearly five million afghanis and the mosque in Nankzai about 3.5 million afs to be paid by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The governor said the government would further increase its attention towards mosques and seminaries and continue to consult religious scholars on issues.
