Saudi king denounces deadly Kabul bombing

KABUL (Pajhwok): Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent a condolence message to President Dr. Ashraf Ghani following Wednesday’s terrorist assault in Kabul.

In his cable, the monarch said: “We have received with profound pain and sadness the news of a terrorist explosion that took place in the diplomatic quarter in Kabul, killing and injuring dozens.”

The Saudi Press Agency quoted Salman as condemning this criminal act and sharing the pain pf the Afghan government and people. He expressing profound condolence and sympathy on behalf of the Saudi people and government/

Meanwhile, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made a telephone call to President Ghani.

During the conversation, Mohamed voiced his strong condemnation of the “heinous terrorist attack” that took place in Wazir Akbar Khan area.

Mohamed said the UAE’s stand with Afghanistan at this delicate time of confronting terrorism, and reiterated UAE’s firm position in rejection of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
