SHARAN (Pajhwok): Four children were killed and seven others, including women, wounded in a blast inside the residence of an Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Wednesday.
Mohammad Barat, police chief for Janikhel district where the incident happened, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in the morning.
“During a clash between Taliban and ALP personnel on Tuesday, two militants were killed and their motorcycles brought to the house of the injured ALP commander, Abdul Shakoor.”
An update on the commander’s condition was not immediately available. The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
