President names Roshan as higher education minister

KABUL (MoHE), the Presidential Palace said on Thursday.

In statement from the palace, Ghani said he was glad to nominate Roshan for the ministerial slot in line with his constitutional discretion.

“Under Article 6 of Afghanistan’s constitution, I have approved the nomination of Abdul Latif Roshan as new minister,” the president said.

The parliamentary affairs minister will introduce the nominee for a trust vote to Wolesi Jirga under Article 91, according to the statement.

Roshan, a resident of Kabul, obtained a PhD from an America university. He is currently the chancellor head of the Bakhtar University.
