President opens first Citizen-Arg debate in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday opened the maiden session of a debate titled “Citizen and Arg (Presidential Palace)” aimed at ensuring good governance and citizenship.

The Citizen and Arg debate attended by university professors, university students, Kabul residents and a number of government officials was held for the first time at the Presidential Palace.

Addressing the audience, the presidents said unity could not be established until there was a common thinking. “Open debates develop good thoughts and good citizenship and governance,” he added.
