Fueling sectarian strife enemy plot: Haibatullah

KABUL Haibatullah, vowing to prevent attempts at creating differences among Afghan tribes, has asked the fighters to avoid operations in areas where civilians could be harmed.

In a message in connection with Eidul Fitr, the Taliban leader said the movement condemned all types of differences and discrimination against the brotherly Afghan tribes.

He said fueling sectarian strife in Afghanistan was the enemy plot and the Taliban would prevent such attempts with full force.

Haibatullah said peace within an Islamic system, durable security and prosperity of the nation were their basic goals.

He said they were committed to people’s economic development, education projects.

The supreme leader asked his followers to continue their efforts for promoting religious and worldly education and paving the ground for reconstruction works.

He asked the fighters to avoid harassing innocent people and also advise others to do so.

The Taliban leader said the Americans should realize the ground realities and instead of war should accept legal demands of the Afghan people and resolve the conflict through diplomatic channels.

For this purpose, the Taliban leader said, he had tasked the group’s political office in Qatar to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.
